I have being coming to this place for quite some time now and it never disappoints food it’s really tasty, the atmosphere it actually makes you feel like you’re eating in authentic Mexican restaurant! a little pricey but it’s kind of expected for the location the Restaurant it’s located! Besides that this place does deserve five stars!
Ordered via DoorDash - customized shrimp taco, taco basket with carne asada and chicken, and guacamole. These tacos are so delicious, especially the shrimp & carne asada… perfectly cooked and generous with cilantro & other toppings. The chips & guacamole were so fresh, love the addition of pepitas. Definitely will eat here again.

Invicto is absolutely one of my favorite taquerias in the Chicagoland area. They are a Tijuana style shop with a great selection Mexican fare. The quality of the food is always top notch and the restaurant itself is always clean and has a great atmosphere. Mulas are an absolute must and my favorite item to get on the menu. It’s served with a chipotle crema that’s perfect for dipping. There is not a bad taco on the menu. The arabes pork option is usually my go to. Be sure to ask for some of the pineapple salsa. The quesabirria combo is quite the experience with the perfectly melty cheese and savory consommé. They also have 2 great vegetarian options between the marinated mushrooms or the fried avocado. The cali burrito is rarely seen outside of California, and luckily they do it justice at Invicto. Filled with queso and and fries, it can’t be beat. Vampiros are tostadas which have a lot of the same toppings as the tacos. These aren’t my favorite, but if you love tostadas you’ll be in heaven. Every once in awhile they’ll serve cemitas, a delicious sandwich with a chicken cutlet and an adobo spread. Get this when they have it! They have a great selection of sides. The queso is a rich blend of cheeses that pairs great with fries or chips. The guacamole is always fresh and packed with flavor. The elites are served in a cup (usually called esquites) and have a great lime flavor. Their aguas frescas are made fresh on site daily and are always refreshing. I usually go for the horchata which is served with whipped cream. They have a freezer filled with a ton of different flavors of flavors like strawberries and cream, pineapple, mango chili, gansito, and more. The churro shakes are pretty good, but are often too much for me. Delicious blended ice cream with a piece of churro on top.
Stopped in for tacos with my sister, who said this place had the best food. Ordered the chicken, steak, and avocado tacos. The chicken taco was very meaty and packed. The avocado tacos were flavorful, with pico de gallo and crema. The steak tacos were the best! The meat was marinated and tender, with toppings that complimented the filling nicely. The hand-made tortillas really add to the heartiness of the tacos. Also ordered a side of chips and guacamole. A perfect companion to our meal!
Not your regular tex mex restaurant..the food are actually good and the sauces bar is the bomb! The plate menu are big enough to share. Fair price for good portion. Order thru the screen and service is quick. I think they can only accept credit card. Recommended to try if you re in Vernon Hills area
I really really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was excellent, fresh and a multitude of vegetarian and a few vegan options. The crispy Avocado Tacos are amazing. Ambiance is on point. There is also a Keto option. I love the salsa bar and sampled all the yummy salsas. Don't forget the Guac and chips and a side of elotes! Will absolutely return TM
